World touring choir from Norway with 900 years of choir tradition. We bring you classical repertoires as well as delightful Norwegian folk songs. The Nidaros Cathedral Boys’ choir has over 900 years of rich history. It’s the main choir of Nidaros Cathedral which is located in the ancient capital of Trondheim, Norway. It’s also the main choir of Royal events. The choir will celebrate its 100 years of modern history in 2027 with a global tour. Current artistic director and conductor, Bjørn Moe - a former soprano in the choir, successfully reinvented the choir since joining as conductor in 1973. There are 100 members in the main choir, 70 sopranos/altos (9-15 years old) and 30 tenors/basses (15-68 years old). In addition, the mini-boys choir, has 40 boys ages 7-9. (Title gained 2014 onwards). The choir has performed in National and International level stages (2012 Rome) and hosting many choral events in negombo including the biggest carol service in Negombo since 2007.(Maris Carols). Our musical director and conductor is one of the best most appreciated musicians in Israel ,he has a lot of experience and all our repertoire consists of his very special arrangements. Our repertoire consists of various musical styles : Israeli folk classics, Translated international songs by the Beatles and others, Gospels, A Cappella pieces. Newly formed in 2022, the group is currently comprised of a mixed choir, a men's choir, and a women's choir. The mixed choir meets at the Manchester Rugby Club, and the men's and women's choirs meet at the Wilmslow Rugby Club. The repertoire consists of a little bit of everything - madrigals, movies, musicals, spirituals, shanties, serious songs, silly songs - everything. All singers are welcome, and there is no audition required. We sing as a team, one step at a time.  less
