The video is based on a caricature of me as a choirboy. This is an improved version using that video but following the words more clearly and also incluDing the words on screen. The choir sings the 12 days of Christmas but it all goes horribly (or hilariously) wrong.
Arr: Alberto Brazuelo Grund This is our version of "Silent Night" in spanish with a melody of a Canarian song inside ("Arrorró").
With much valued assistance from the Tea Time Choir and the Morning Chorus. Brilliant version of this song performed on 19th July 2013 at St John's Church, Gloucester on a stonking hot day (30 degrees plus)

Being trapped in our homes due to COVID-19 didn’t keep us from singing together – quarantine rather boosted our creativity and turned white walls and bed sheets, smartphones and bookshelves into almost professional home studios. From rehearsing to audio recorDing and video production, the physical distance between us couldn’t stop our passion for making music together. In times that make us realize what’s most important to us, we felt closer than ever and really understood that … we don’t need fancy! It’s also known in English as Willie Take Your Little Drum. It was written by Bernard de la Monnoye around 1700. My English version here is a singing translation, so feel free to sing along in English :-) Guillaume prends ton tambourin Toi, prends ta flûte, Robin; Au son de ces instruments "Turelurelu, patapatapan" Au son de ces instruments Je dirai Noel gaîment. Willie take your little drum With your flute oh Robin come With the sound of flute and drum tootle tootle toot, bing a bang a boom with the flute and with the drum I will say Nowell with joy. C'était la mode autrefois De louer le Roi des rois Au son de ces instruments "Turelurelu, patapatapan" Au son de ces instruments Il nous en faut faire autant. In the goodly olden days The king of kings we'd praise with the drum and with the flute tootle tootle toot, bing a bang a boom, with the flute and with the drum we should do alike just so onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

A performance by a live choir (a cappella and at the correct pitch) can be heard on the score page. The words are my own and tell of children playing in the dusty streets (ie of Bethlehem) unaware that a miracle has happened and asking them to look up to where the angels are singing.
