At its heart is a repertoire which spans six centuries and embraces all styles of music. Musical Director Peter Leech is planning an exciting concert next July to celebrate the group's tenth anniversary. Every concert features music from every aspect of Spectra Musica’s repertoire. The Choir’s next performances are on Saturday 5th December 2015 American Museum Bath Saturday 20th February 2016 – Come and Sing Day. The choir consists of members mainly from Cape Town's Northern suburbs, but also as far as the Helderberg region and Mitchells Plain. The repertoire of the choir consists of religious and secular music that varies from the Renaissance to the modern era. This includes (oratoria, masses extracts from operas, operettes, musicals and arrangements of folk- and ethnic music.

We rehearse, in excellent facilities provided by Hutchesons' Grammar School, on Monday evenings, Aug - Nov and Jan - Mar; we give two concerts, in Nov and Mar, in an on-site auditorium, with 3-manual digital organ. The auditorium can accommodate 60 singers, up to 30 orchestral players and an audience of around 250 (300 max).
