Lee Chong M...  moreJakarta Festival Chorus (JFC) was initially the Chamber Choir founded by Indra Lazuardi; whose members were the sacred music lovers of Gereja Santapan Rohani Indonesia, Jakarta (The Bread of Life Church of Indonesia). Since the beginning, Rev. Lee Chong Min – a reverend as well as a professor of the School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College – has been appointed to be the choir master of the Chamber Choir. In 1997, the choir name was changed to Jakarta Festival Chorus in order to reach out more participants from evangelical churches in Jakarta. Jakarta Festival Chorus is currently under the Music Department of the Communion of Chinese Churches in Indonesia (PGTI). The members now are choristers and sacred music lovers from different churches in Jakarta. Kikimasu (grades 4-6) offers a focus on thorough and excellent music education, with singers learning about healthy vocal production, the body-voice connection, and vibrant performance presence, as well as ant emphasis on musical literacy, music theory, and sightsinging skills. As with all our ensembles, Kikimasu provides a secure and accepting social environment where all singers feel their importance as members of the group. Most importantly, Kikimasu has fun and creates exciting music! Kikimasu means “hear it” in Japanese; you can look forward to hearing the music they make at every concert!  less

Chantage won the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year competition in 2006, recorded live with Elbow at Abbey Road Studios in 2009 and is frequently featured on Classic FM and BBC radio. Chantage performs a wide range of repertoire, programming works traditionally performed by English chamber choirs alongside lesser known works sourced from foreign choral cultures. Chantage was formed in 1999 by its Musical Director James Davey, and quickly established itself in London as a stylish and energetic young chamber choir. It draws singers from all over the country and from all walks of life. Our first meeting/rehearsal was in September 2013. We are directed by Maestro Manuel Jesús Sanchidrián Torti who has an excellent reputation as a choral director in Malaga. Our first concert was in Velez-Malaga in December 2013 when we were joined by a children's choir and a youth orchestra from the Conservatorio “GONZALO MARTIN TENLLADO” in Malaga, both of which are also directed by Manuel Sanchidrián . We plan further concerts and we intend to collaborate with other choirs from different areas of Spain. Our singers represent 12 different countries and we sing in a number of languages.  less
