We are a group of like-minded young people who have come together to express life in all its wonderful facets through vocal music! We are students. We are friends. We all study at Stellenbosch University and believe in the power of music to uplift, entertain and educate. We aim to share our voices and talent with all who will listen! Any person acquainted with student culture understands the important role of music and singing in the life of a young person. Acastella is a platform for young adults studying at Stellenbosch University to practice their love of singing. Unfortunately the members got spread across the vast world and thus decided to stop Acastella at the end of 2013.  less

The Adutl choir Includes More Than 60 amateurs, who belong to various social, scientific and cultural groups and segments: school and university students, employees, teachers, engineers, doctors, parents ... and from different denominations and religions of Syrian society and Syrian Cities and Governorates, who were brought together, due to war conditions, in the City of Tartous. The first objective of establishing this Choir was to integrate choral music into our local musical culture as a new type of sung music whereby the Choir presents international choral works to its Syrian audience. Moreover, the Choir aims to develop and modernize the methods of Arab musical compositions by harmonizing and rearranging it and singing it in a way that uses the best scientific and technical methods to present the best human voice professionally. Composed of about forty members, our group p...  moreOur association is situated in Saint-Martin-Vésubie, in the heart of the National Park of the Mercantour, in the Southern Alps, north of Nice in the South-east of France, 50km from the seaside (Côte d’Azur). Composed of about forty members, our group presents itself either as a women’s choir, or a men’s choir or mixed choir. Our repertoire is varied and original : Renaissance, classical, traditional or more contemporary rhythms such as jazz, afro-latino, or contemporary songs. We celebrated in 2015 the thirtieth birthday of our association which has a long experience in exchange and sharing around choir singing. We have organized several festivals, masterclasses and various exchanges and thus contributed to the promotion of our region, the «département des Alpes-Maritimes» and to the development of choral singing (see examples below). The choir's size changes as per the musical requirements of the specific project being undertaken. The name Singkronies means singing without pause, as well as the desire to sing in a synchronized manner. We are conducted by the talented conductor and tenor, Nicholas Nicolaidis.
