Its first members were students of The Club's Music School and many of Them participated in The Youth Choir of The city of Heraklion, under The direction of Mrs. Katerina Tzagkaraki. The name of The ensemble originates from Thalitas, an ancient cretan composer and legislator, after whom a street in Heraklion is named; in this street The first rehearsals of The ensemble took place. The ensemble's primary goal was to acquaint its members with The a cappella (“in The chapel”, without church organ accompaniment) vocal music of The renaissance period. THALITAS began by studying and performing works of renowned composers of that era (e.g. Josquin des Prez, G. P. da Palestrina, Orlando di Lasso) to assist The learning process of its members' musical studies. Voices of Gotham is open to all singers in The TTBB range interested in The barbershop style. Since The Chorus' founding in 2008, VoG has rapidly distinguished itself as one of The country's leading incubators of both new barbershop music, and of young musical artists who will shape The continuing evolution and excellence of The barbershop tradition. VoG is ranked by The BHS as one of The top ten barbershop Choruses worldwide. We hebben momenteel 22 leden maar streven in de toekomst naar een ledental van 30 (of meer natuurlijk). Onze leden komen uit Doetinchem, Zutphen, Ulft, Steenderen, Gaanderen, Etten en Megchelen. Het doel van Miracle Sound is om het Barbershopzingen bekend te maken bij een groter publiek maar vooral: plezier maken! Het repertoire bestaat uit evergreens, love- en popsongs, musicals en ballads. Uiteraard allemaal gezongen in Barbershop-stijl, dus zonder muzikale begeleiding!  less
