With a great sense of fun and a unique style of entertainment, the CHORUS has gripped audiences during its history of 34 years. Our close knit membership of nearly sixty guys has a strong commitment to vocal and performance excellence. Cottontown particularly enjoy competing in both national and international barbershop competitions. Well respected stages around the UK including the London Palladium have given us the opportunity to wow audiences with stirring harmonies, emotional lyrics, exciting choreography and visual effects.
In competition, the Bolton based group has succeeded in winning the much sought after Gold Medal at the British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) convention four times in the last six years and represented the UK twice at the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS) International Convention held in the USA. A week-long FESTIVAL of music, friendship and discovery awaits! Highlights will include a final night Gala Concert in Worcester's magnificent cathedral, featuring the World Premiere of a specially commissioned work from UK composer Bob Chilcott (Five Days that Changed the World with words by Charles Bennett), individual choirs' concerts in venues in and around the historic city of Worcester, sight-seeing trips and activities for visiting choirs, Welcome Concert in the cathedral, and a concert for participants given by a leading UK vocal group.

All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the FESTIVAL. The limit of the chorister is maximum 35-37 per choir (including the conductor and the choir’s leader).

The program of the choir ensemble must be on the category of CLASSICAL, POP, ROCK, JAZZ, or FOLK music. The choice of program it’s free without limit of the instruments that may accompany the choir ensemble. The duration of performance shall not exceed 20 minutes per performance. The choir ensembles may have tree performances during the FESTIVAL.
The following application documents must be provided by the closing date June, 01.Accommodation shall be organized from the organizers in student hostels in Skopje. The participants shall be placed in rooms with 2 or 3 beds, breakfast is included.
