Our members are mainly from around the Castlebar area, but with five from Ballinrobe, more from Swinford, Kilkelly and Ballyglass we now truly represent our county.
Under the musical direction of Deirdre Lee, from Kiltimagh, Deirdre has been our musical director since the choir’s inception, an honors music graduate of University College Maynooth, having studied under Professor Gerard Gillen. She has been involved in many musicals and events as musical director, arranged and conducted. Deirdre is a teacher of music, choir and orchestra in St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Castlebar. She has arranged many of the pieces we perform in four part for male voice. which were previously not available to us.

As its name implies (the phrase "Rosh Tov" in Hebrew connotes fun and a good atmosphere), this group has a Light, vivacious character alongside its serious professional aspirations.
Its repertoire includes lots of rhythm: international and Israeli pop songs, Beatles, Gershwin, musicals - all arranged by Jeanne in five part harmony.
Among its most successful performances to date: "Sealed With A Kiss" (2007, 2008), special tribute evenings to lyricists Yoram Teharlev and Shimrit Or (produced by the Rosh-HaAyin Municipality), second place in the choir competition "Kol Rishon" (Rishon LeZion, Succoth, 2008), and semi-final status in the "Zemer Lach Artzi" competition, 2010. We owe a special thank you to Patrick Kelly and Alex Eshed of "SingIsrael", who have coached us periodically along the way.

Dealing with Disappointment
Every life needs aspirations—along with goals to help us achieve them. Our goals can be like the banks of a river, guiding the flow of our ambitions. Making plans and striving to accomplish them helps channel our efforts and energies toward the things that matter most to us.
But what about when we fail? How do we respond when, despite our earnest efforts, we don’t quite reach those high aspirations? In short, how do we deal with disappointment?
The natural response is to feel discouraged, disheartened. It might seem that all our planning and work were wasted. We may even question our aspirations—were our ... less

We enjoyed the most terrific day of music-making on Saturday, 1st September 2012, culminating in a wonderful performance of 'In The Dark' in Hall One at Kings Place. One of the audience members commented: "That was the most sublimely beautiful concert I can remember ever attending".
Bachtrack gave the concert 5 STARS:
"Their voices float, soar, and whisper, while creating both an exquisite intimacy and an expansive grandeur, as the text demands...their scrupulous attention to detail, and immaculate intonation and articulation made this a performance of spine-tingling beauty and conviction."
Thank you to everyone who supported us; the atmosphere was electrifying!
