Atlantic voices is an amateur choir starting its tenth season wi...  moreAtlantic voices : The Newfoundland and Labrador Choir of Ottawa was founded in the spring of 2002 by soprano Kristina Curren, a Newfoundlander once removed in search of her musical heritage. Atlantic voices is an amateur choir starting its tenth season with a repertoire consisting mainly of Newfoundland, Maritime, and Celtic songs and music. The goals of the choir are: to represent and showcase Newfoundland and Maritime music and culture in the Ottawa area; to provide its members with the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform choral compositions; and to offer free of charge, musical entertainment to residents of retirement homes, hospitals etc., via in situ community concerts. Members of Atlantic voices include singers from the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Ontario. Singers and musicians of all backgrounds are invited to join us and explore songs and music from both sides of the Atlantic.  less

Die Mini-voices, die Maxi-voices und The voices. Wir kommen aus Duisburg und proben jeden Donnerstag im Gemeindehaus Beim Knevelshof in DU-Wanheimerort (Minis 17:15, Maxis 18:15, voices 19:15). Da wir immer neue Mitglieder suchen, seid ihr herzlich willkommen, bei einer Probe dabei zu sein und kräftig mitzusingen. :-) The voices is a choir for children (from 4-8), teenagers (from 9-14) and adults, separated in 3 different groups, called Mini-voices, Maxi-voices and The voices. Based in Adelaide, South Australia, the Chorus exists to provide a platform for young male Adelaide singers to explore ensemble music making and the performing arts through a cappella singing. Membership ranges from middle school through to young adults. Among the ranks of singers are several small ensembles. Our programme varies from stunning ma...  moreHart voices is a Mixed voice choir based in Fleet, Hampshire which achieves a high-standard of singing from a non-auditioned choir. We perform four concerts each year across three terms running from September to July. Our programme varies from stunning major choral works to satisfying chamber music programmes and the occasional light programme of popular numbers! Singers are drawn not only from Fleet and the surrounding area, but also outlying towns including Guildford and Basingstoke. Choir membership is currently around 50 voices, many of whom have sung with the choir for several years. The combined experience and enthusiasm enables us to explore new musical horizons - both in repertoire and venue. We aim to broaden our experience, strive for quality and musicality in our performances and involve young singers wherever possible. In recent years, works which we have performed include Bach ‘Magnificat’, ...  moreWe are an 80-strong SATB choir in our 55th season and, while we sing a varied repertoire, we are best known for our spirited performances of the great and exciting choral works. In recent years, works which we have performed include Bach ‘Magnificat’, Vivaldi ‘Gloria’, Mozart ‘Requiem’, Orff ‘Carmina Burana’, Rossini ‘Stabat Mater’, Dvorak ‘Mass in D’, Tippett ‘A Child of our Time’, Handel 'Messiah' and Verdi ‘Requiem’.' We engage professional soloists and orchestra, to perform with the choir. Since March 2015 our Musica Director is Adam Treadaway. We perform three concerts a year at St George's Church Beckenham with weekly rehearsals from September to June at the St George's Church Hall. These venues are close to Beckenham Junction Rail and Tram Stations and on many bus routes. Car parking is also available at the St George's public car park.  less
