Lyrics (English translation below)
gott grüss euch all in einer G’mein,
darzu auch die klein!
So ich ein grüss, die ander nit,
so wär ich kein rechter Singer nit!
Right pleased am I to join this dance, I hope
a beautiful young maiden will give me a garland
Then I will be her own
So I step up here upon a stone
Tender maiden may God greet you
and may God greet all here the same,
be they poor or rich
God greet everyone together here,
even the little ones!
Because if I greet one and not the other,
I would not be a true singer! ink" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="$(this).getParent().getPrevious().style.display='';$(this).getParent().style.display='none';">less

Absalom, son of King David, was a handsome prince and considered by some to be worthy of the throne of Israel, even before David's death.
One day, as Absalom went riding, a tree's branches caught his luxuriant hair and he hung there helpless. He was slain by his enemies. King David was inconsolable.
Performed by the dwsChorale, a multitracking one-man choir

We rehearsed for most of the day in two-choir sections, with our four choral directors, Scott inglis-Kidger, Sarah Tenant-Flowers, Riccardo Bonci and Jonny Davies. After lunch we began to put the sections together. At 4pm we brought all 8 choirs together and Scott inglis-Kidger led a most thrilling final performance.
The day marked the end of the 2012 workshops but fear not, our 2013 Choral Workshops series - Perfect Playlist - is now live on our website. platinumconsort.com/perfect-playlist.html We look forward to seeing you soon!
