They were under the tu...  moreEast Rand Male Symphony was established in August 1990 by the members of the then Kenneth Masekela SSS Boys Choir afTer winning the TUATA National School Choir Competition in the CaTegory of Boys Choirs for the 4th successive year. They were under the tuTelage of Mojalefa Motloung. The choir is made up of members from the East Rand which is now affectionaTely known as Ekurhuleni. The young men who established the choir in 1990 are now responsible men taking their place in their communities. We currently have over 35 members of which ages range from 20 to 50. We are still under the baton of Mojalefa Motloung who also forms part of our Conductors Forum.  less

Paralia is a touristic seaside village situaTed on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus. The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the characTer and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares of Paralia, Olympic Beach and KaTerini. All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.  less

Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions compeTed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals.
