Each Choir member has a different and wide-ranging background in solo, operatic and competitive performance, which enhances the Choir’s ability to undertake some of the more challenging choral works and contributes to their fresh and unique sound. the Academy Chamber Choir’s repertoire spans from early to contemporary Music. their most recent success was ranking third in “Irelands Choir of the Year” at Cork International Choral Festival 2013. they then went on to win 1st place in the Early Music, 1st place in the Irish Language and 2nd place in the Sacred Music at Navan Choral Festival 2013. they were 2nd place in RTE Lyric FM’s Choirs for Christmas Competition – Irelands largest choral competition featuring over 400 Choirs. they are winners of the “National Choir of the Year 2012” competition. they have had huge suc...    less

Youth Choir contains over 80 singers, and the total number of singers meeting each week at the Academy is over 180. the junior Choirs are directed by Mrs Kate Venvell, Stage Choir is directed by Richard Halton and Julie Gossage, and Youth Choir is directed by Tim Venvell.  less

Performers of the BASC start from the age from age of 13 and to a maximum age of 28 years old. BASC performs according to a certain theme for each performance. This year for the BICF2018, the BASC has chosen the theme of Hamilton, from the award winning Broadway Musical Hamilton. BASC is under the vocal direction of Dr Casey Broadway and choreography under Ms Nana Eddy. the BASC is modeled after the American Show Choir whereby choristers have to undergo both vocal and choreography training. the Choir has been invited to perform in New York, Los Angeles, Florida and Michigan.
