This song is our ‘Thank You’ to all of you who have donated to our charities throughout our Homegrown Harmony Project. In total, you raised £1587 for 7 charities. Many of you followed the songs each week and donated more than once – thank you so much!
Thank yous also go to everyone who shared and commented on our songs – a staggering 41.5k people watched our videos over our social media, simply because you shared with your friends and communities! Thank you for taking the time to do that. It’s a wonderful feeling to share our songs and our charities to a wider audience and to know that you’ve enjoyed listening.
In many ways, the Homegrown Harmony Project has brought us closer as a choir and more in touch with our local communities. We’ve been so pleased that our videos have helped our chosen charities at a time when their resources have been low, but demand has been high.
So, thank you all for sharing the love, supporting the Project and for your wonderful comments!

We have sung this song in another arrangement many times in concert with Steve Knightley and Show Of Hands. This new version by Kirsten Pagel, is for a female quartet, with rich dark harmonies and a tender, aching feel.
We dedicate it to all who have passed through war, both in the past and unfortunately now, in the present. We also sing it for those within our communities that have recently lost a loved one. It has been such a difficult time to be grieving. We sing it for you to remember the best times, the friendship and the comradery and most of all, for the love that you shared together.
Our charity for this song, is South Brent and District Caring, a small charity that looks after people in the community, provides crisis relief and comfort.
To donate, please visit our fundraising page at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/thelostSound
60% of the proceeds from this song will be donated to charity.

It does not meet on a regular basis, but comes together for short, intensive work periods, culminating in performances, or “Projects.” The majority of its musicians are recruited from the metropolitan Washington, DC and Baltimore areas, but some come from as far away as New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. We offer high-quality performances of significant choral, and choral-orchestral music, concentrating especially, but not exclusively, on the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. We supplement our gifts to the community with unique experiences, such as our “Conversation Concerts.” We also offer advanced training opportunities in our specialized choral and choral-orchestral repertoire for young conductors and singers, through our workshops and performances. less
