How far is it to Bethlehem, not very far?
Shall we find the stable room lit by a Star?
Can we see the little child, is He within?
If we lift the wooden latch, may we go in?
May we stroke the creatures there, ox, ass or sheep?
May we peek like them and see Jesus asleep?
If we touch His tiny hand, will He awake?
Will He know we've come so far just for His sake?
Great Kings have precious gifts and we have nought
Little smiles and little tears are all we have brought.
For all weary children Mary must weep
Here, on His bed of straw, sleep, children, sleep.
God in his mother's arms, babes in the byre
Sleep as they sleep who find their heart's desire. less

Star of Bethlehem
There is a child, whose wish for Christmas
Lies far beyond what she can see
And with the sunrise she runs to rainbow's end
Searching for her dreams
She sits alone where none can reach her
Beside the tree with silver trim
And in the evening she wishes on a Star
For Another friend
Star of Bethlehem, Star of Bethlehem
I can see you shining bright
Star of Bethlehem
Star of Bethlehem, Star of Bethlehem
Guide me to the Child of Light
Star of Bethlehem
There is a Child within a manger
Whose love can reach the smallest heart
From kings to shepherds
To everyone of us whose dreams are torn apart
And he was born for all the children
Who watch the snow and dream their dream
He ... less

Individual song parts recorded by the choristers using their own equipment following lead videos made by our Director, Pierre. Pierre then put together the video using Final Cut Pro.
A message from the Director:
"Christmas 2020 is the first in our 43-year history where we haven’t been able to stage live concerts, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still sing. So, after planning, rehearsing and recording, we are proud to present O Little Town of Bethlehem, one selection from our Virtual Christmas Concert of 6 carols. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nstkQZ9-5Gs We hope you will enjoy our renditions of old favourites, some in new settings by our director, along with a few lesser known pieces from our carol archives.
I cannot be more proud of my musical colleagues for forging through the complex logistics of putting these videos together. I thank them for their loyalty to our fans and ... less
