Have you ever wonderd if there is a good tool out there for assisting in managing the day to day running of the chorus or vocal group? Our managment team has! We tried writing our own web based management application. It worked pretty well but required a level of expertice to maintain that we could not guarantee. We wanted to use it to manage membership communications, music distrbution, learning tape (recordings) management, riser tape managment and recording, riser positioning, event managment, financials, calendars, timely communications, history (photos, videos etc), attendance loggiong, newsletters and blogs etc etc.. The list just went on and on.
Then we found Groupanizer.com.
Fabulous tool for helping us managing the choir. It is an integrated database system with a freindly front end. Flexible yet powerful. Lot's of great "components" that you can choose to turn on and use. Each component (or module if you like) builds the environment into an amazing system. It is fully supported yet solidly built. It has built in email with scheduling, it has full event calendaring, it manages membership, music, news, documents, photo's, financials, communicatiions..... Basically almost everything a choral group could want, all in one place. And it is affordable.
The developers (who are choral singers themselves) listen to the needs of their customers so that if a great idea is suggested (and possible) they incorportate it and everyone benefits.
Not only that but you can use the site as your own public facing website yet link internal event data to the site for public viewing etc. You can even link your own internet domain to it so that to the public (and chorus group members) all they see is your own registered domain - but in the background Groupanizer is working for you.
It is brilliant.. Check it out!! groupanizer.com...
(ps.. I am not in any way associated wih this organization except as an a everyday very satisfied user of the system)
