About Me
Ganesh Kumar is a music composer and arranger based in Chennai, India. His attraction towards the works of great Indian as well as Western Classical masters since his childhood years has helped shape him to become the musician he is today.
He is a protégé of Mr.Abdul Sattar, one of India’s most respected teachers who is also the winner of the ‘Outstanding Teacher’s Award’, Trinity College of Music, London for the past 25 years. Ganesh pursued his training in western Classical Guitar under his tutelage and has obtained L.T.C.L. (Licentiate of Trinity College of Music, London) in both practical and theory.
Harmony and Contrapuntal writing has always fascinated Ganesh and as a composer he hovers between the diatonic and chromatic worlds. His fascination for collaboration with international artistes and world music, has led to a whole new level of creativity. Yet, he manages to maintain a fine balance between the traditional and the contemporary.
His works include a wide ranging repertoire comprising Choral music, Chamber Music, Orchestral works, Classical cross-over, Easy Listening, Film Music, Original Score & World music.
