The work depicts The revelation to The Virgin Mary by The Angel Gabriel that she will conceive a son to be The saviour of humankind. The Giovanni Consort is a chamber vocal ensemble based in Perth, Western Australia. The group performs a wide range of choral music from medieval to modern times and is renowned for its exquisite musicianship and attention to detail. Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in The March 2015 concert with The Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in The Chapel of Covão do Coelho and The Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G.
