Lalla, a 14th century Sufi-mystic poet from the Kashmir region of India, believed strongly in the development of the self while reaching enlightenment. The metaphor of dancing while feeling free or naked exemplifies the beauty of empowerment and self-worth. This work uses influences of Classical Indian music and other vocal effects to allow Lalla’s message to come to life.

HIMIG SANGHAYA is a coined Tagalog phrase for music OF THE HIGHEST HONOR. The directors, conductors and members of HIMIG SANGHAYA DO NOT TAKE SINGING LIGHTLY. They are a group of very young and talented artists who revel in their music, nurturing it as if it were an integral part of their being. They own up to a technical and musical maturity only to be surpassed by world-renowned and seasoned performers. They train very hard and continuously challenge themselves to achieve higher goals by aiming to master pieces of ever increasing levels of difficulty, and never fail to enthrall their audiences with repertoire that ranges from Renaissance to the 21st century, and experimenting with pieces influenced by lavish flavours of cultures worldwide. less

Paralia is a touristic seaside village situated on the west coast of the Thermaic Gulf and in the shadow of Olympus.
The Festival has two parts: competitive and non-competitive. However, the character and the main concept of both parts is joining music, vacation, friendship and fun. All choir ensembles, regardless of the members’ gender and age can apply for participation at the Festival.
