nůmama welcomes women from all walks of life and musical abilities. Choir members have included opera singers, circus stage managers and women whose boldest performances have been behind a shower curtain.
The choir’s musical director, Elaine Chan, is an acclaimed composer and a musical theatre icon in Singapore. She has played a prominent role in guiding the choir in singing its eclectic repertoire of pop, Broadway numbers, classical choral, and even African chants and gypsy wedding songs.
nůmama has its beginnings as a mother and baby group in 2009, and has since grown into a choir for all women. Our mission is to be an inexpensive musical support group focusing on the needs of the women. We are best summed up by our strapline: sing:support:escape

As well as being an extremely feminine accessory, it also illustrates the quality, refinement, finish and musical beauty that the Academia Concerto pursues. The formation of groups of like voices in Brazil is not very common and, therefore, requires constant research to seek out specialised repertoire, both in Brazil and abroad, making appropriate arrangements or adaptations of pieces for ... less
