We sing mainly pop,rock and show tunes without instruments. We are available for bookings around the Bristol area. for Birthdays,Weddings, Anniversary Celebrations and Corporate events  

Our music is focused in medieval music from the Northwest of Spain. But the repertoire is also based in traditional and popular music in different languages. We have participated in choral meetings with some composers like Javier Busto, Julio Dominguez a...  moreOur music is focused in medieval music from the Northwest of Spain. But the repertoire is also based in traditional and popular music in different languages. We have participated in choral meetings with some composers like Javier Busto, Julio Dominguez and Josu Elberdin. In Europe, Canta Compaña offered his music in Poland, France, Netherlands, England and Scotland. Krakow, Edinburgh or Canterbury were some of the cities where the concerts were held. We love meetings with other choirs and exchanges.

1998 Voxtet was founded by Martin Mikeš and his several friends. A year before, there was already a male vocal group consisting of six members called MIKE 6, the establishment of which was inspired by a US vocal group TAKE 6. Voxtet was basically formed ...  more1998 Voxtet was founded by Martin Mikeš and his several friends. A year before, there was already a male vocal group consisting of six members called MIKE 6, the establishment of which was inspired by a US vocal group TAKE 6. Voxtet was basically formed by subsequent addition of female singers to MIKE6. The formation of Voxtet started out with nine persons but, during the first three years, it ca me down to the current six members. Most of the singers in Voxtet have their musical background in various choirs. Some of them still sing in Jihlava’s famous PS Campanula choir. 1999 Voxtet’s first concert took place on 31 May 1999 in Jihlava’s Horácké theatre. From then on, Voxtet’s performed at various minor events as well as its own big shows. 1999-2001 At the beginning, Voxtet was remarkable especially due to the absolute lack of a distinct dramaturgy. The Musical Director has, since 2013, been Dominic Ellis-Peckham. We foster a friendly and supportive environment, and have regular social activities. We're relaxed but focused when it comes to pursuing musical excellence and have a keen shared purpose in developing our individual vocal skills, and pushing ourselves with new and challenging repertoire from across the centuries and genres. Each season the choir usually promotes around six concerts in London in venues such as St James's Piccadilly and St Paul's Covent Garden, and organises two weekend tours - one in the UK, and one overseas (recent destinations include Paris, Porto and Rome); and we regularly receive external bookings.​ Past engagements have included with Pete Townshend and Alfie Boe for 'Classic Quadrophenia' at the Royal Albert Hall, and with Madonna for the Eurovision Song Contest Final in Tel Aviv.  less

In my attempt, “O magnum mysterium” returns three times after the first statement, in a similar gesture but each time shifted to a new tonality with even more flats. Thus, the listener gets ever more pulled into this magnificent text until the piece culminates in a jubilant “Alleluia” in C-major, having come full-circle back to very first harmony we heard.  less
