The ensemble is made up of undergraduates and graduates of Cambridge University, and currently the choirs of King’s, St John’s and Trinity colleges are represented. Recent Concerts have included performances of Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories for Maundy Thursday (Feria Quinta), Monteverdi madrigals and anthems by Byrd. The ensemble has also performed music by Ligeti, Rheinberger and arrangements by Philip Lawson. Future engagements include a lunchtime Concert in the Cambridge St John’s Music Festival, as well as Concerts at Jesus and Caius colleges.  less

The group is composed of talented students of the college from different levels, gathered together by their common passion, the passion for singing. But talent and passion is not enough, rehearsing is also one of the essential elements in creating good music. With Mr. Karl Angelo Tangco, a voice major from the College of Music, as their conductor, they were able to produce great music together through continuous rehearsals, and so, the journey of the Chorale begins...  less

With approximately 100-115 auditioned members and a professional core of 12 voices,the choir's repertoire spans 6+ centuries . In addition to our annual subscription series, we sing with both the National Arts Centre Orchestra and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra . The choir has made five international tours to Italy, Spain, Germany and the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom and Ireland . Following an extensive search which attracted a roster of highly- accomplished choral directors, the impressive and charismatic young conductor and keyboard artist, Jordan de Souza, was appointed Artistic Director and Principal Conductor in July, 2013.
