Performance Music includes a wide variety of Musical styles. Performa... Members of the choir are auditioned, multi-generational, and range in age from 17 to senior citizens. Performance Music includes a wide variety of Musical styles. Performances take place in local churches, theaters, etc. The Chorale programs two rehearsal and concert seasons each year. ArtIstic Director & Conductor Jan Lanterman and Associate Conductor Jason Nett conduct rehearsals and performances.
The Mansfield University Concert Choir Is a highly select ensemble of singers, representing some of the finest talent from the American Northeast. While the majority of the singers are undergraduate Music majors, membership Is open to all students at the ... Is).getParent().getNext().style.dIsplay='';$(thIs).getParent().style.dIsplay='none';">moreIsplay:none;">The Mansfield University Concert Choir Is a highly select ensemble of singers, representing some of the finest talent from the American Northeast. While the majority of the singers are undergraduate Music majors, membership Is open to all students at the university through an audition process. The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern DivIsion Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern DivIsion Convention. The choir Is renowned on the international stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. Formed in November 2005, the choir has performed around England, Wales, parts of France and Germany. Members of the choir also run a training choir to train other choirs to perform Gospel Music. The small training choir Is able to travel anywhere. To da... To date they have travelled to Cornwall, Devon, Derbyshire, Wales, France and Germany. The whole choir Is mixed, with approximately 50 singers and performs around 30 times a year.
