We strive to create a musically inspiring, spiritually stirring experience for our patrons. From historically informed performance of early music to meticulously prepared classical works to the most exciting current sacred compositions, Te Deum presents beautiful music in stunning settings. Te Deum was founded by Matthew Christopher Shepard in 2008 to fulfill an expressed need by both singers and audiences in the Kansas City area to present sacred choral music concerts of the highest quality. The Te Deum chamber Choir performed its first concert in spring 2009. Since then, the chamber choir has built an impressive and varied repertoire that spans centuries of time and wide ranges of composition style. Also winning ...  moreIn the World Choir Championships which was held in Graz, Austria between 10th-17th July 2011, Boğaziçi Jazz Choir became the 'WORLD CHAMPION' in Contemporary Music and Folklore categories, and got the 'second prize' in Mixed choirs category. Also winning 2 more gold medals in 'Grand Prix of Choral Music' the champions competed in, the choir has come back to Turkey with a total of 5 gold medals. The choir promotes European and Croatian musical heritage giving concerts both home and outside Zagreb, but also enjoys performing classical music to the audience that does not tend to go to cultural events. Since 2007, the choir has been conducted by Ms. Elena KoNovalova. Under her guidance, the choir won first place at Zagreb Singing choirs Competition 2012, in Vocal Ensembles category.
