On our first birthday, we won the Acappella/barbershop class at the 2011 International Eisteddfod in Wales, and we have earned many awards and recognitions to date in varous competitions. Under the direction of the exceptionally talented Mr Andrew Walker and his music team of award winning vocalists Affinity embraces educational aims, and encourages personal development in singing and performance. Affinity are always happy to hear from potential bookings, and welcome new members to audition for the choir, we are a fun loving group of women who share the joys of singing, we employ strong values of team work, friendship and support. We uphold the tradition and art of male choral singing through the camaraderie of choral membership and in entertaining our audiences. We give our own concerts several times a year in Norwich and beyond, as well as appear at events by invitation. We were Special Guests of 'The People's Soprano' Rebecca Newman at her 2012 and Spring 2016 tour Norwich appearances and we put up a team to challenge the Eggheads for quiz supremacy! El Coro Lux Dei nació el día 8 de abril del año 2012 bajo la dirección de Alfonso Ortega Mantecón en la Parroquia Santa Rita de Casia ubicada en la Ciudad de México, D.F. Surge debido a la inquietud de formar un coro religioso en el que se buscara innovar y ser diferentes a lo tradicional en este ámbito sin llegar a apartarse del objetivo primordial que es acercar a los fieles a la Eucaristía a través de los cantos. Tras el debut del Coro Lux Dei en abril el grupo siguió creciendo en número de integrantes como en calidad vocal e instrumental. El primer gran evento que fue encomendado al grupo fue la animación del tradicional rosario con motivo a la fiesta patronal el día 22 de mayo del mismo año. The group comprises two classical...  morethe Addison Group of Singers is made up of four different choirs for singers of all ages, abilities and musical interests. It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director since 1995. The group comprises two classical choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and a much larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir; and two jazz choirs – an auditioned mixed Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers two different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more competent, experienced singer. The Addison Singers normally operate on three 10-week terms (the same as the schools) with a concert or recital at the end of each term. Rehearsals are held in Hammersmith on Monday (Jazz and Vocal Technique), Wednesday evenings (Classical Choirs and Learn to Read Music class ) and Thursday afternoons (Musicianship for Singers class); the times and subscriptions depend on which choir or class you join.
