this video took a lot of hard work. I started this almost immediately after my first choral video went up. I Love these choral multitracks but they are very tedious to edit and very long to record.
just so you know, because I know people are going to ask, the soprano solo at the beginning is in the box in the top-left corner
as always there is no autotune used.
so because of all my hard work I think it would be wonderful if you would all like, subscribe, comment and share it with your friend. it would mean a lot to me :)

The poem above is sometimes Called “I Am” due to its repetition of the phrase. Was the poem inspired? The Hebrew name for God, YHWH, means “I am” or “I am that I am.” And there does seem to be someThing magical about the poem, as it was written by a woman who, to our knowledge, had never written a poem before. Mary Elizabeth Frye was an orphan with no formal education. In 1932 she and her husband hosted a young Jewish woman, Margaret Schwarzkopf, who was fleeing the Holocaust. When she received news that her mother had died in Germany, the heartbroken houseguest told Frye in despair that she had never had the chance to “stand by my mother’s grave and shed a tear.” Frye found herself composing the poem above on a ripped-off section of a brown paper shopping bag. She said the words “just came to her.” less

Voxtet was founded by Martin Mikeš and his several friends. A year before, there was already a male vocal group consisting of six members Called MIKE 6, the establishment of which was inspired by a US vocal group TAKE 6. Voxtet was basically formed by subsequent addition of female singers to MIKE6.
The formation of Voxtet started out with nine persons but, during the first three years, it ca
me down to the current six members. Most of the singers in Voxtet have their musical background in various choirs. Some of them still sing in Jihlava’s famous PS Campanula choir.
1999
Voxtet’s first concert took place on 31 May 1999 in Jihlava’s Horácké theatre. From then on, Voxtet’s performed at various minor events as well as its own big shows.
1999-2001
At the beginning, Voxtet was remarkable especially due to the absolute lack of a distinct dramaturgy. The main part of its repertoire was based on vocal transcripts of popular songs, folk, gospel and jazz songs. However, Voxtet’s repertoire currently ten... less
