Since The beginning, Rev. Lee Chong Min – a reverend as well as a professor of The School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College – has been appointed to be The choir master of The Chamber Choir. In 1997, The choir name was changed to Jakarta Festival Chorus in order to reach out more participants from evangelical churches in Jakarta.
Jakarta Festival Chorus is currently under The Music Department of The Communion of Chinese Churches in Indonesia (PGTI). The release of Their first CD Qui creavit celum, celebrated The Stairwell Carollers' 20th anniversary in 1997. In 2000 They released I Saw a Swete Semly Syght and in 2003 Mourning Dove. Their very first madrigal CD, Audite nova, was released in October of 2006 and Their fourth Xmas CD Laudemus cum armonia in 2009. 2012 marked The release of Their first CD of sacred songs from The Renaissance, Cantate Domino, Their fifth Xmas CD O magnum mysterium is now available for purchase.
Winner of The 2010 OMFA provincial competition, They are ranked amongst The best of Canada's choirs.

We give you The pleasure of enjoying fine music and knowing you are a part of a musical community - a team that enriches The life of all of us. We currently have about 50 members. We feature a variety of music from popular to classical. Our selections are fun and challenging for singers and entertaining and rewarding for audiences.
Open rehearsals for potential new members are held in September and January at The beginning of The rehearsal seasons. No formal auditions are held, but we do expect new members to be experienced in four part choral singing, and to have some ability to read along with sheet music. We are always concerned with maintaining a good balance of voices, and we cannot promise to accept all applicants.

Chantage performs a wide range of repertoire, programming works traditionally performed by English chamber choirs alongside lesser known works sourced from foreign choral cultures. Chantage was formed in 1999 by its Musical Director James Davey, and quickly established itself in London as a stylish and energetic young chamber choir. It draws singers from all over The country and from all walks of life.

Since its foundation, The choir is in continuous improvement and has been involved in many workshops with Prof.Mustafa Apaydın which were organized twice a year. The choir has a mixed membership including music teachers, musicians and amateur choir singers.
The choir’s name is inspired by The famous story written by William Shakespeare and Guiseppe Verdi’s famous opera called OThello and The OThello Castle which is located in The city of Famagusta. The city where The choir is based is known as “OThello’s City Famagusta” all around The world.

Our first meeting/rehearsal was in September 2013. We are directed by Maestro Manuel Jesús Sanchidrián Torti who has an excellent reputation as a choral director in Malaga. Our first concert was in Velez-Malaga in December 2013 when we were joined by a children's choir and a youth orchestra from The Conservatorio “goNZALO MARTIN TENLLADO” in Malaga, both of which are also directed by Manuel Sanchidrián . We plan furTher concerts and we intend to collaborate with oTher choirs from different areas of Spain. Our singers represent 12 different countries and we sing in a number of languages. less
