Our leading text for working with the children
is what Pablo Casals once said:
"Each second we live is a new and special moment,
a never returning moment.
We should tell every child:
"Do you know what you are?
You are a miracle!
You are wonderful!
In the whole wide world there is no-one like you!""

Over the years the interest in polyphony, the study of the repertoire and the Vocal approach has grown. The group has joined the A.R.S. cori (Regional Association of Choirs of Sicily) and consequently to FENIARCO (National Association of Choirs) with the involvement in all the regional and national demonstrations promoted by the aforementioned organism: exhibitions, concerts and gatherings for Choirs.
Numerous shows are made, we mention some more suggestive:
the performance of some unpublished musical works by don Luigi Sturzo edited by Nicolò Maccavino of the Italian Society of Musicology (2003).
"The word sung" the multimedia show for chorus-voices, video projections and orchestra (2009);
the CD recording of the traditional POPO MEO of the Easter Triduum in Scordia (2009);
the event "et incarnatus est", symphonic lyric concert for solo... less

Sweet is the sound of my newborn wings
I stretch them open, and let them dry
I haven't seen this world before
But I'm excused, I'm a butterfly
Sweet is the touch of your newborn wings
We fly in circles, we play with the sun
We haven't seen this world before
So fair, so bright, so blue the sky
Love me, love me on the leaves
Before we say goodbye
Love me, kiss me with the breeze
You will be my lullaby
Tomorrow I'll die
Tomorrow I'll die
Tomorrow I'll die
Tomorrow I'll die
Be my lullaby
Love me, kiss me with your breeze
Love me, love me on the leaves

Founded in 1951 by the late Richard S. Eaton, RES has played a leading role in Edmonton’s cultural community for more than six decades. In addition to presenting its own concerts, the Choir is a regular guest of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and collaborates frequently with other Edmonton Ensembles, including the Alberta Baroque Ensemble in this performance. It has also collaborated with other Canadian Choirs in the past, including the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus, the Vancouver Bach Choir and the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir. This past summer RES embarked on a two week tour of Germany, highlighted by performances at the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Bach was Kapellmeister for much of his career. less
