We are resident at St. Matthew's parish church in Chapel Allerton. We rehearsal three times a month, on a Friday evening and sing four services a month, including Evensong on the first Sunday of every month. We also often host come and sing days and various workshops, our two most recent projects have been on Buxtehude's Membra Jesu Nostri and Mozart's Requiem. It's a lot of fun! We welcome all levels of singers ages 12 thru senior in High school and there is no audition required. We are part of the School of Rock program and this is a paid program. Horlick High School, Gilmore Middle School, McKinley Middle School, Olympia Brown Elementary, Gifford Elementary, Winslow Elementary, Wadewitz Elementary and AppleChor from Red Apple Elementary combined to sing it as the Finale to the festival. There were about 280 children involved. It was born thanks to its director, Ludovico (Dodo) Versino, who instilled the love for choral music in High school students all across Rome, which led them all to become friends. It doesn’t have an exact date of birth, because it began as a way to get together, rather than as a formal Choir. They don’t have a uniform, a fixed meeting place, or a specific repertoire genre. We accomplish our mission by combining the power of women's experience with musical ex...  moreFull Circle women's Choir is inspired by the hope of building bridges and creating a cooperative spirit with all people and promises excellence in women's choral music. We accomplish our mission by combining the power of women's experience with musical expression in the following ways: 1) each season we commission one new piece for women's voices from a female composer; 2) each season, we research, uncover and perform a work for women's voices by a female composer who has been overlooked in music history; 3) we provide an annual scholarship to one girl to sing with the Phoenix Girl's Chorus and 4) each season, we perform two annual concerts and a variety of local performances in our communities and schools.  less
