The Choir has rich concert acti... moreThe core of the team consists of students and graduates of the Gdańsk University of Technology. The Choir's repertoire is very diverse. The band sings mainly sacral, including orthodox Music, but also contemporary and folk. The Choir has rich concert activity in the country and abroad and with great success has participated in many choral contests and Festivals. The ensemble performed hundreds of concerts and presented its skills at competitions and Festivals in Germany, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary and many others. The Choir has recorded a few CDs: "Bogoroditse Devo, Raduisya" from 2008, "Musica Sacra" from 2013, "Canticum Canticorum" from 2017. They have recently won many awards: Grand Prix at II International Choir Festival “Canco Meditterrania” in Lloret de Mar and Barcelona 2013, Golden Medal at prestige Seghizzi Choir Festival in Gorizia 2014, Grand Prix at Choir Festival in Kielce 2015, 1st place at Inte... less

Phoenix have performed around the world, in the USA, Canada, Holland and Ireland as well as all over Britain in world renowned venues such as the Birmingham Symphony Hall, Royal Albert Hall and The Sage in Gateshead.

Biography:
The Crossing is a twenty-four-member professional chamber Choir conducted by Donald Nally dedicated to new Music. Originally formed by a group of friends in 2005, the ensemble has since grown exponentially and “has made a name for itself in recent years as a champion of new Music.” - New York Times 2/14. Highly sought after for collaborative projects, The Crossing was the resident Choir of the Spoleto Festival, Italy in 2007; appeared at Miller Theatre of Columbia University (in the American premiere of James Dillon’s Nine Rivers) with the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE); performed during Bang on a Can’s first Philadelphia Marathon; and has appeared with Network for New Music, Lyric Fest, Piffaro, red fish blue fish, Tempesta di Mare Baroque Chamber Orchestra, PRISM Saxophone Quartet, Toshimaru Nakamura, Dolce Suono; and this past su... less
