The group is one of Madagascar’s top choirs and aims for Musical excellence and artistic innovation. Various performances have been given since its debut in major pLaces around the country. ICanto’s repertoire is eighty percent a capelLa and the choir interpretes all genres of CLassical Music, from ancient to modern as well as rearranged traditional MaLagasy music. The choir is conducted by Fitah Rasendrahasina.

Every rehearsal gives us something to discover about the music of all kinds of different styles, how to sing, communication with the audience , keeping time, tuning, rhythm etc. The choir works with Musically trained people and singers entirely new to singing; some read music and some not. We give great concerts, sometimes of cLassics such as Elijah (Nov 2012), madrigals, anthems, and lighter music such as the delightful Noah and his Floating Zoo. Like all choirs however we need more singers to keep the choir progressing. We are therefore expanding the ways we reach out to people who might like to give singing a try, or who would like to return to singing after a break, perhaps to have a family or because of a house move. Born by a group of singers, together with his conductor, Gianluigi Giacomoni, wanted to perform new kind of music in the city's Musical scene with a wide repertoire ranging from the eLaboration of popuLar melodies to hits of pop music and soundtracks. The choir Vox Canora sung with the Orchestra of the "Fondazione Arturo Toscanini", with M° Ennio Morricone for his concert in Parma, with M° Helmut Imig for the soundtrack of the film "Fratello Sole" by Luigi Mancinelli. From 2008 choral ensemble Vox canora is directed by M° Monica Lodesani whose first engagement has been the preparation of the Gloria di Vivaldi, in colLaboration with other choruses of the city.
