Come experience the joy of Latin American music through Choral singing! Amazonia Vocal Ensemble was founded in 2007 by Dr. Cristian Grases, and debuted on Nov. 30 of that year at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Miami. The ensemble rehearses weekly and is comprised of volunteer musicians, both professional and amateur. The ensemble has performed throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well in Naples in 2009 & 2012, Puerto Rico in 2010, and most recently in Washington DC in 2015. The choir's permanent artistic director is Romana Rek. In the past years, Chamber choir Orfej has received a number of awards, which places them among the more prominent Slovenian choirs. Orfej has proven its High level of vocal performance in April 2010 at the prestigious Slovene national choir competition ‘Naša Pesem’ (i. e. ‘Our Song’). The choir scored 93 points, received the gold award, and the second prize in the category ‘mixed choirs’.
