We are an auditioning, non-professional Chamber Choir, performing a diverse programme of repertoire at regular intervals throughout the year. We draw our membership from the hugely successful EC4 Music, a Choir and orchestra that is widely regarded as one of the leading large amateur groups in London, and it is from this platform of success that CCoV takes its lead. EC4 Music recently performed at the Barbican for the fifth time, raising money for The Prince’s Trust and is also very excited to be making its Royal Festival Hall debut in October this year to mark the grand finale of the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2011. It was founded in 1978 by Dr. Jeffrey Unger for the sole purpose of providing quality performances of choral music written for the small ensemble. ...  moreHISTORY The New Jersey Chamber Singers (NJCS) is the premier vocal Chamber ensemble of the Jersey Shore. It was founded in 1978 by Dr. Jeffrey Unger for the sole purpose of providing quality performances of choral music written for the small ensemble. In the 32 years of its existence, NJCS has presented concerts throughout New Jersey and beyond. NJCS was chosen to represent New Jersey at the American Choral Directors Association Eastern Division convention in Baltimore in 1984 and again in Philadelphia in 1988. In June 1991, by invitation of the Bishop of Washington, D.C., NJCS performed at the National Cathedral. In December 1998, NJCS was the guest of the Orpheus Club of Philadelphia and performed in their annual Christmas concert at The Academy of Music. In 1999, NJCS performed at Alice Tully Hall in New York City. MEMBERSHIP The ensemble is composed of both professional and talented amateur musicians. Membership is by audition. It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director since 1995. The group comprises two classical...  morethe Addison Group of Singers is made up of four different Choirs for singers of all ages, abilities and musical interests. It was founded more than 30 years ago with David Wordsworth as its Musical Director since 1995. The group comprises two classical Choirs – an auditioned Chamber Choir and a much larger non-auditioned Oratorio Choir; and two jazz Choirs – an auditioned mixed Jazz Ensemble and a larger non-auditioned all-female Jazz Choir. It also offers two different singing classes to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate and the more competent, experienced singer. The Addison Singers normally operate on three 10-week terms (the same as the schools) with a concert or recital at the end of each term. Rehearsals are held in Hammersmith on Monday (Jazz and Vocal Technique), Wednesday evenings (Classical Choirs and Learn to Read Music class ) and Thursday afternoons (Musicianship for Singers class); the times and subscriptions depend on which Choir or class you join.
