To categorize their genre is difficult; to experience their music is indescribable.
The members of Six come from entirely different Musical backgrounds. In its inception, Six came together as a group of opera and rock singers, jazz artists and Choral traditionalists. From amidst this diversity a common goal has seamlessly forged a unified and surprisingly unique a cappella sound. The cornerstone of the Chorus is traditional boychoir music including sacred and secular pieces spanning the Middle Ages to the present.
The Chorus incorporates songs and ballads of the American Southwest and other repertoire into its program in a unique way. Costumed as cowboys the boys sing the songs of the saddle and showcase their trick rodeo roping. The Chorus also performs contemporary music including Broadway show tunes, international songs, holiday music and modern favorites.
Additionally, the Chorus represents the Tucson community as a world renowned Choral organization. It has toured throughout the U.S. and many countries around the world.
