Barony Choir was established in 2011 in Midleton, East Cork, Ireland. A Mixed voice SATB Choir of c. 30 members.

We are a community of people who love to sing. There is a variety of ages and ability levels. Our goals are learning a variety of repertoire and connecting through Music and singing together.

The fusion of Music, learning and internationalism forms the cornerstone of the IFC. We are an adult all-volunteer Chorus with a membership that spans nationalities, generations and professions — united by a passion for Music and singing. Some of our members have had a lifetime of Music and choral experience; others are only just beginning to discover the joy of singing. Whichever stage our members are experiencing in their personal Musical journeys, the IFC is filled with enriching opportunities to learn and grow both as Musicians and as individuals. The IFC is committed to sharing our love for Music and choral singing with the community through two formal concerts a year and additional performances at private and public events.  less

Gospel Choir is based in Essex, but occasionally strays beyond! Celebrating our tenth anniversary in 2013, the Choir was formed in 2003 after director Jen and accompanist Jane were missing taking part in Music, having left university. Starting well, with about 15 members the Choir has fluctuated in size, settling early on into a Choir of 8. In 2010 however, the Choir doubled in size and we are pleased that this core of almost 20 people has stuck! Choir members range from 7 years old to 77! We are a sociable bunch with an emphasis on singing for fun. We don’t put people through an audition and being able to read Music isn’t necessary. A good third of the Choir don't read Music. Being able to sing in tune is an advantage though! We have performed at weddings and parties across Essex and Suffolk, for the Women's Institute, local churches, at fetes, town open nights and charity concerts at the Mercury, Headgate and Towngate theatres. The Adutl Choir Includes More Than 60 amateurs, who belong to various social, scientific and cultural groups and segments: school and university students, employees, teachers, engineers, doctors, parents ... and from different denominations and religions of Syrian society and Syrian Cities and Governorates, who were brought together, due to war conditions, in the City of Tartous. The first objective of establishing this Choir was to integrate choral Music into our local Musical culture as a new type of sung Music whereby the Choir presents international choral works to its Syrian audience. Our performances are described as ‘absolutely incredible’, ‘stunning’, ‘inspiring’, and ‘hugely surprising’. That’s because we work hard to deserve such comments. We began 6 years ago as the Lothian and Borders Police Choir and have performed at events in large and small venues, have sung in New York, representing Scotland at the 10th anniversary of 9/11, at T in the Park, have sold out at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and have been highly placed in competitions.  less

Seeds of this traveling ministry were sown during the Choir’s initial recording session in October 1988. The Choir’s debut album, Great Is Thy Glory, released in April 1990 on the Micah Communications label was re-released as The Early Years. TMC’s second live recording, God is our Hope was released in 1994, followed in April 1998 by its Juno nominated album, Follow Him. In February 2002, Instrument of Praise was released. That year the Gospel Music Association Canada (GMAC) awarded TMC a Covenant Award for Best Urban/Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year. The Choir, which began at Brigham Young University as an early Music ensemble, transformed into one of the premier non-collegiate chamber groups in the Western United States. This award-winning ensemble achieves high performance standards by drawing on the rich Musical heritage of the region. Many Cantorum singers have solo careers and all have sung with top collegiate ensembles. A number have also sung as members of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Utah Chamber Artists, and Salt Lake Vocal Artists. In addition, Cantorum is proud to have a high representation of talented choral educators. The group won both of its categories at the 2016 Interkultur competition and received special commendation for their performance of Dale Warland and Hugo Distler.
