The University Choir is the premier auditioned ensemble of Colorado Christian University. The ensemble focuses on a cappella sacred repertoire but also performs world music. The University Choir is a regular performer at conferences and tours annually.

While the majority of the Singers are undergraduate music majors, membership is open to all students at the University through an audition process. The group has achieved an impressive reputation of excellence, having been chosen each of the last twenty years to perform at conventions or festivals around the country: the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference; the Eastern Division Music Educators National Conference; the Music Educators National Convention; the American Choral Directors Association Pennsylvania State Conference, and the ACDA Eastern Division Convention. The choir is renowned on the interNational stage as well, representing the US at competitions and festivals around the world. Rory Wilson, an experienced choral conductor from Edinburgh, has been appointed and has begun work with the Choir towards our first concert under his direction in November 2018, based around the Fire Songs of Morten Lauridsen, pairing his settings with settings of the same or similar texts by Renaissance composers.

With a membership of 65-70 musicians from throughout the campus, this ensemble is quickly becoming recognized for its musical excellence. Recent concerts have included Johann Sebastian Bach’s Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, Samuel Barber’s Reincarnations and Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb. Strong sight-reading skills and musicianship are important to membership. This ensemble is directed by Dr. Jonathan Babcock, associate director of choral activities. Texas State University Singers rehearses Mondays from 5:00–6:30 PM (M222) and Tuesdays/Thursdays 2:00-3:20 PM (M222)  less
