The Ensemble performs in some of the most important Music festivals in Israel, and has won first prize and a gold medal in the International Liturgic Music Competition for Choirs 1996, sponsored by the Vatican. On 2001 Jerusalem A-Cappella Singers performed a world premier in Jerusalem and Italy of a Mass in Arabic by father Armando Pieruchi and in 2009 they were invited to take part in a special project for Christmas which was produced and filmed in Jerusalem by the BBC and forecasted later in England. Tomislav Veršić in the school year 1992/93 by merging two school ensembles founded a year earlier: Girls’ Choir, and traditional Dalmatian male vocal group (so-called “klapa”) “Šufit”. At the end of the following school year, the Choir participated for the first time at the Croatian Youth Music Festival, choral competition which is traditionally held in Varaždin, thereby winning the Silver Plaque. In 1996 the performance of the Choir at the same event was rewarded with Gold Plaque. After this success, the Choir received new, more experienced members, and began to act as the Mixed Choir of Cultural and Artistic Association “Aspalathos”. Although new ensemble soon became well recognized and multiply awarded, it ceased to be a part of the school and thus of this historical review as well. Since its inception, the Paros Chamber Choir has participated in several international competitions and has truly become a lighthouse or beacon (Paros translated in Armenian) for The Armenian Nation.
