We have a varied repertoire of well-known pop and jazz Songs, as well as the occasional folk song. A mixed choir or various age groups, we have regular concerts in the Berlin region, but also further afield, often abroad. The attached picture is from our 2014 concert at the Berlin Philharmonic Hall.
We are keen to hear from anyone who would like to sing with us, but also from other choirs interested in clubbing together with us for a concert or two. less

Why my choir doesn’t sing songs from India
[this is a version of a post which first appeared on my blog From the Front of the Choir]
The simple reason is that India doesn’t have a harmony singing tradition, and I specialise in harmony singing.

Drowning
Surrounded by a sea of skyscrapers
The numbers are my frowning
Time takes away my breath
Every minute I am drowning
The view from up here is gorgeous
But I cannot see any beauty
All I see is an ocean of illusions
In which greed makes life draggy
Few people can realize
That a smile is nothing more than teeth
A hand-shake is nothing more than skin
And on this ocean of illusions we keep going
Because we need to feed our fears
And give birth to more problems
That should not exist.
I wish I could be stronger
I wish I could be brave
I wish I could have wings to fly away
But I am just a fish
Swimming to survive
Waiting for the moment to die. less

The Revelations won two Gold and one Silver medal at the World choir games in Austria (2008) singing choral a-cappella style music in the Gospel, Pop, and Male voice vocal ensemble categories. They were also declared world Champions in two of the categories after achieving the highest number of points in these two categories. The once eleven member team is now down to nine members and are working hard to retain the level of excellence which enabled them to win in Austria. See other uploads by 'vokaltotal' less

This song is our ‘Thank You’ to all of you who have donated to our charities throughout our Homegrown Harmony project. In total, you raised £1587 for 7 charities. Many of you followed the songs each week and donated more than once – thank you so much!
Thank yous also go to everyone who shared and commented on our songs – a staggering 41.5k people watched our videos over our social media, simply because you shared with your friends and communities! Thank you for taking the time to do that. It’s a wonderful feeling to share our songs and our charities to a wider audience and to know that you’ve enjoyed listening.
In many ways, the Homegrown Harmony project has brought us closer as a choir and more in touch with our local communities. We’ve been so pleased that our videos have helped our chosen charities at a time when their resources have been low, but demand has been high.
So, thank you all for sharing the love, supporting the project and for your wonderful comments!
