Tomislav Veršić in the School year 1992/93 by merging two School ensembles founded a year earlier: Girls’ Choir, and traditional Dalmatian male vocal group (so-called “klapa”) “Šufit”. At the end of the following School year, the choir participated for the first time at the Croatian Youth Music Festival, choral competition which is traditionally held in Varaždin, thereby winning the Silver Plaque. In 1996 the performance of the choir at the same event was rewarded with Gold Plaque. After this success, the choir received new, more experienced members, and began to act as the Mixed Choir of Cultural and Artistic Association “Aspalathos”. Although new ensemble soon became well recognized and multiply awarded, it ceased to be a part of the School and thus of this historical review as well. Butial through...  moreThe Salinlahi Serenata Singers or fondly called SaSeSi is the official and resident choral ensemble of Bulihan Integrated National High School in Silang, Cavite. It was established on July 2013 by music educator and conductor Mr. Aristeo B. Butial through the help of their principal Mr. Willy D. Federico and head teacher of MAPEH Department Mr. Emeterio S. Vargas Jr. It became one of the pillars of performing arts in the said School promoting culture and arts through choral music. In 2015, when the Special Program in the Arts established, the group was tied up in order to utilize and serve as training ground for students majoring music with an emphasis in voice performance.
