The voices of young singers are celebrated and nurtured through a musicianship and vocal training program that includes reading and writing rhythms, interval recognition, diction, tone and vowel formation in a positive and fun choral setting. Serving ages 5–14, the program fosters the pride of accomplishment and joy of participation, producing the next generation of musicians, singers, and music lovers in the community.  less

The TCC is made up of Youth and adults from the Trumansburg Community. We welcome new members and are looking to grow the chorus. There is no audition to join our ranks, however, a basic knowledge of choral singing and music is helpful.

The objective was to bring about musical performances...  moreThe LAZ EKWUEME CHORALE was founded in October 1974 with a view to getting together in a small Choir the best available and professionally trained singers in Lagos, the then Federal Capital of Nigeria. The objective was to bring about musical performances (of choral works by foreign and Nigerian composers) of sufficiently high standard for international consumption, within the limitations of national resources. The CHORALE which has grown in size to over 100 singers has given numerous concerts in Lagos and other towns in Nigeria, including Aba, Abakaliki, Abeokuta, Abuja, Benin, Calabar, Eket, Enugu, Ibadan, Ife, Nsit Atai, Oko, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia and Uyo. It has performed many times on Radio and Television and has featured on many State, National and International functions. It was the nucleus of the Nigerian National Choir for FESTAC 77. It is formed by children and young people from 6 to 25 years old, who are distributed in three groups. Their activities are set out for the development of sensibility, intelligence, memory, attention, and, at the same time, contribute to achieve the feeling of working together and mutual help and the sincerity of companionship. Likewise, they begin to know the art and culture world by the music, not only polyphonie music, but also popular and modern music. During their trajectory, the Choir has offered several concerts, has participated in competitions and festivals and has done tours abroad: France, Italy, Luxemburg, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia...
