Rory Wilson, an experienced choral conductor from Edinburgh, has been appointed and has begun work with the Choir towards our first concert under his direction in November 2018, based around the Fire Songs of Morten Lauridsen, pairing his settings with settings of the same or similar texts by Renaissance composers.

Composed of twenty young Singers, the choir is involved in an innovative thinking artistic project. The New Baroque Times Voices is characterized by the eclecticism of its artistic choices with a repertoire going from Renaissance to the most complex creations of contemporary music. Attached to The New Baroque Times ensemble, the choir charts its own course and trajectory remaining open and willing to work with other ensembles in Belgium and abroad.  less

Entry by audition. Rehearsals are fortnightly on Sunday evenings. Currently performing 4 concerts per year, all proceeds from Quire Voices concerts go to a different selected charity for each event. Charities for 2011 are: The Royal British Legion, Tommy's Charity.

All performances are from memory, delivering carefully-structured, semi-choreographed programmes. Repertoire encompasses jazz, show tunes and folk songs as well as opera and the classical repertoire. Members include fellows and alumnae of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, as well as Singers drawn from the wider community.

The choir’s extensive repertoire covers all periods of vocal music and the 20th. century, among them choral works composed by R.R. ...  moreFor more than 100 years now the male choir HARMONIE Lindenholzhausen with its 90 Singers presents High-quality choir music. The choir’s extensive repertoire covers all periods of vocal music and the 20th. century, among them choral works composed by R.R. Klein, A. Koerppen, F. Farcas and many others more. Some of the works have been specially composed for HARMONIE Lindenholzhausen. At the same time the choir dedicates itself to oratorioes usually performed together with the female choir “Dzintars” Riga / Latvia. Numerous concert tours and participations in international festivals took the HARMONIE to Austria, the Czech Republic, Egypt, England, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Macedonia, Russia, USA and Wales. In Wales the choir won first prize in the male choir category at the International “Eisteddfod” Llangollen in 1995 and 2007(second prize in 2003).
