An international, nondenominational Choir with specialization in sacred classical works and other soul inspiring Music which cut across diverse denominations and cultures. We sing in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and many other local African languages.

Hljómeyki has represented Iceland in choral competitions and festivals, and has published 5 CD’s with Icelandic Music. In recent years it has frequently collaborated with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Other recent projects include Schnittke’s Concerto for Choir and Rachmaninov’s Vespers. We are a friendly Choir of all ages, who go on overseas tours every two to three years. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 7.15 to 9.30pm during term time.

We are currently around 50 ambitious amateur singers between 18 and 50 that share their love for Choir Music. Our biggest success was winning the German National Choir Competition in 2010 in the category Jazz vocal et cetera - a capella.
