The choir forms p...  moreAbout the Choir The University of Pretoria Youth Choir is a multi-cultural choir consisting of 90 members aged between 14 and 19 years and representing 33 Secondary Schools in the greater Tshwane area. They are all amateur singers. The choir forms part of the multi-choir model of the University of Pretoria, the others being the UP Jacaranda Children’s Choir, UP Camerata.

Our social life is very active and we have ev...  moreThe Maidenhead Communty Choir is welcoming, non-auditioned choir with a toe-tapping repertoire across many genres. We have regular concert and performed at Windsor Castle, Windsor Theatre and Cliveden House. Our social life is very active and we have even gone to Turkey and Spain for singing holidays. All choir sessions aim to be uplifting and fun so everybody leaves with a smile on their face:)

We believe that music can positively impact and enrich lives. Our performances reflect this belief in their use of such seasonal themes as ‘freedom’ and ‘healing’ and ‘our mother earth;’ and in presentation of mostly new music in a way that is accessible. Our educational programs reflect this belief by training emerging professionals, planting seeds within young people for a lifetime of music involvement, and growing the skills of our own members. Our commitment to new choral music reflects this belief even beyond our substantial performance commitment through Project Encore™ and our Featured Composer Program. Substantially more than a singing group, SCH is unique in many respects that reflects both a breadth and a depth that bespeaks the full meaning of a ‘schola’ (‘school’).  less

The heart of Dozan wa Awtar Music Establishment is singing and community building. Major activities revolve around three groups: Dozan wa Awtar Singers, Dozan and Atfal Dozan. Dozan wa Awtar Singers is an innovative large community choir ranging from 40-60 singers that performs three main concerts a year. Their repertoire includes a wide variety of genres including classical, musical theater, Arabic and world music . Dozan is a chamber choir that experiments with new Arabic arrangements and other world music and specializes in smaller tailored performances as well as festivals and competitions. Invitato in concerti e rassegne in tutta la Sicilia, annovera tra le re...  moreFondato nel 1994 dal suo attuale direttore Giovanni Mirabile, il coro polifonico “Ouverture”, raggruppa giovani della provincia di Messina accomunati dall’amore verso la polifonia. Invitato in concerti e rassegne in tutta la Sicilia, annovera tra le realizzazioni più notevoli: due spettacoli con Giorgio Albertazzi, l’esecuzione dei Carmina Burana presso l’Università di Messina e di “The Armed Man” di K.Jenkins con l’Orchestra di Lecco, l’allestimento di musical, concerti in diverse città d’Italia tra cui Assisi, Mantova, Roma, Massa, Lecco. Particolare attenzione, negli ultimi anni, è stata data alla produzione di spettacoli originali, come DoppiArmonia:percorsi polifonici per doppio coro (Duomo di Monreale). Di rilievo anche la partecipazione a diverse edizioni di “Fede, Arte e Musica” presso il Duomo di Messina in collaborazione con Mons. Our repertoire ranges from the traditional to the contemporary, from sacred to 'songs from the shows', from Wagner to Rod Stewart. We maintain a good balance of concert and social activities. We practice every Tuesday night from 7.45pm to 9.30pm at Stithians Methodist Chapel. We have made a number of recordings including (with Stithians Ladies Choir) five well known Sankey Albums.
