By engaging in an intense study, could soon join The most important events of prestigious choralcompetitions earning statements in Arezzo and Ravenna in 1978 and 1979 and Gorizia in 1982. The polyphonic sacred and secular music certainly represents The most relevant part of The repertoire that The Polyphonic Group “Claudio Monteverdi” successfully brings to churches and Theaters both in Italy and abroad. Among The repertoire, we can find 1500’s and Baroque musical compositions by Palestrina, Da Victoria, Gallus, Viadana, Hassler, Monteverdi. Among The Romantic authors, on The oTher hand, we can find Schubert, Schumann, Sibelius, and Rossini. Concerning modern Polyphonic music: Poulenc, Kodaly, Bardos, Pizzetti, and Orff. We were originally founded as a workplace choir for K Shoes (taken over by Clarks) of Kendal, Cumbria in 1969. We have around fifty members and support local and national charities. We are a very friendly choir and welcome new members.

During The fifty plus years of its lifetime it has benefited from The leadership of five furTher conductors, David Griffiths, Margaret Maddock, Len Williams, Carol Davies and our present Director of Music, Alwyn Evans. The choir has travelled widely over The years with tours in Europe, United States and Canada besides engagements throughout Wales and England. Our concert venues have varied from village halls to national auditoria and great caThedrals. In The Eisteddfod field we have won two National first prizes plus several seconds and oThers. The constitution and first rehearsal of The cho...  moreAcademic Male Choir of The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing was established on January 11, 2016 as The initiative of The conductor Josip degl' Ivellio and The Dean Professor Mislav Grgic, PhD. The constitution and first rehearsal of The choir was held on January 18, 2016. The choir has been holding since its foundation regular weekly rehearsals, and has grown into The biggest male choir in Croatia, but also wider. The choir in its repertoire emphasizes classical choral literature, primarily Croatian composers. In addition, The choir's repertoire includes both a cappella compositions of The classical repertoire, from Renaissance to contemporary music, as well as The clapet and compositions of contemporary or popular multilayer music. Members of The choir are present The former students and staff of The Faculty, as well as oTher interested friends and supporters of The Faculty. Since foundation, choir has won multiple Golden plaques and more than 80 concerts or performances.  less
