Six Degree Singers has featured in events all around the D.C.-metro area, including the Silver Spring Loy Krathong Thai Festival and the Chesapeake-Potomac Invitational Bonspiel, an annual curling event, and was recently selected to perform in the closing concert of the Kennedy Center's National Choral Festival in 2014. As a registered non-profit organization, Six Degree Singers also participates in outreach activities at various charity events and retirement communities.  less

Its activities soon expanded and now include a regular concert programme, weddings and services throughout Staffordshire and the West Midlands, and guest appearances at other cathedrals. The Choir has a versatile repertoire of sacred and secular music ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary, and it enjoys the challenge of new and experimental writing. Widely acclaimed Sunday morning broadcasts on BBC Radio 4 have raised its profile well beyond the region, as have its two appearances in the BBC Sainsbury's Choir of the Year Competition, several performances in the Lichfield International Festival, and the recordings 'In Every Corner Sing' (Regent REGCD196) & 'Belgian Choral Works' (Regent REGCD241) with the Lichfield Cathedral Choir and the Fine Arts Brass Ensemble. The CD is expertly conducted by the choir's musical director, James Sherlock and guest instrumentalists are 17-year old Edward Picton-Turbevill on the organ and award-winning young cellist James Barralet playing the solo part in Sir John Tavener's 'Svyati' for cello and choir.
