Bei den CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN handelt es sich um einen Kinder- und Jugendchor des Gymnasiums Illertissen, der seit September 2001 besteht und einen Auswahlchor dieser Schule darstellt. Zur Zeit bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sänge... moreBei den CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN handelt es sich um einen Kinder- und Jugendchor des Gymnasiums Illertissen, der seit September 2001 besteht und einen Auswahlchor dieser Schule darstellt. Zur Zeit bestehen die CHORKIDS ILLERTISSEN aus 56 Sängerinnen und Sängern im Alter von 11 bis 16 Jahren. Mit viel Freude und Engagement proben diese Kinder bzw. Jugendlichen einmal in der Woche je nach Stimmgruppe zwei bis vier Stunden. Fünfmal im Jahr gibt es Intensiv-Probensamstage und einmal im Jahr Intensiv-Probentage im Allgäu.
Der Chor hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, anspruchsvolle Chorliteratur verschiedener Stilepochen zu interpretieren. Dabei möchte er sich bewusst von vielen Klischees wenig kultivierten, schulchormäßigen Singens distanzieren und ist bei der Programmgestaltung darauf bedacht, dies auch nach außen hin sichtbar und hörbar zu machen. „Popularmusik“ ist Bestandteil, jedoch auf keinen Fall substanzieller Grundsatz der musikalischen Arbeit. The Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by MUSICal Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. ... moreThe Major Minors Children's Choir was formed in February 2012 by MUSICal Director Joanne Roelofs and Karen Boyce as a one off children's choir of unauditioned primary school aged children which was part of a choral programme with the Hutt Valley Singers. The choir was such a success and those involved enjoyed it so much that it was decided to continue.
The Choir is a training Choir with the children having opportunities to sing or speak solo lines and learn harmonies. Current members are aged between 4 and 12.
The Harmonic Minors is the Major Minors Children's Choir's extension group. This is an auditioned choir for older children and teens.

Executing this MUSIC with "sensitivity and style" (Early MUSIC America), Schola Antiqua takes pride in providing the HIGHest standards of research, performance, and education involving many under-served repertories in the western MUSICal canon. Founded in 2000, the organization has received invitations to perform from the Indianapolis Early MUSIC Festival, Chicago’s Newberry Library, the Chicago Cultural Center, the University of Chicago, the University of Notre Dame, the American Guild of Organists, and numerous locations across the Midwest. In 2006-2007, Schola Antiqua was Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Chicago and currents holds an artistic residency at the Lumen Christi Institute.
