Artistic leader: the parents, Zita and Vilmos Tóth, but the children also participate in creating Musical conceptions and decisions.
The parents have been singing in Choirs since they were children and have participated in numerous competitions, festivals and courses. The children have also sung in Choirs from an early age, usually singing solos. They study singing, Musical theory and instrumental Music.
Our purpose is to promote the miracle of singing and Music - that we owe so much - to people. With each passing year we strive to sing more and more beautiful compositions with a higher quality of performance.
Our mission is to contribute to the distribution of Zoltán Kodály’s spiritual heritage, his Musical education method, and to promote it Worldwide.

The School Choir itself has, over the years, gone from strength to strength despite the need for constant renewal caused by the inevitable “turnover” as new students took the places of those who left. However, after this experience, which has included many concerts in the region, participations in Choir Festivals in Italy and artistic exchanges with youth Choirs from Germany, Hungary, Spain, Denmark and the Czech Republic, our desire to continue singing and, of course, the joy which singing together gave us all made it obvious that the time had clearly come to establish a group which could allow us to continue our Musical journey together.
Thus, once formed, the joy of singing together stimulated our vocal group to initiate a Musical journey of exploration of study which, we hope, will lead us on to ever more emotional Musical experiences while, of cou... less

It provides the Music for Middle Collegiate Church's Art & Soul worship at 6 PM. Music reading is very helpful, but not as important as good intonation and a keen ear for gospel Music. The only rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons at 4:30, for the 6:00 PM worship (start date 9/7) so it is essential that singers must be able to work on Music outside of rehearsal that will be distributed several days in advance. Middle Collegiate Church is located in the East Village at 2nd Avenue and 7th Street. less

RITUAL DEL NUEVO DÍA (Ritual of the new day) SSAA + solo
Commissioned by Lockport Township High School Bel Canto Chorale and its conductor Benjamin Saunders
About the Work (approx. duration 4 mins.)
When Santiago and I began to discuss this commission, we kept returning to the subject of mental health and inclusion. In a discussion with students, one student voiced that they “feel excluded and not cared for,” and that their struggle with mental health “has made [them] feel alone and helpless.”
Santiago begins the piece with an old, quasi-ritualistic melody that calls back to previous times and traditions. As the work continues, the melody unites together with the other voices to emulate inclusion and unity of voices. His text draws parallels to nature and how we are able to bloom through the darkness of adversity with the help of others.
We hope this work aids in our conversations about the importance of discussing mental heal... less
