Jazzva's repertoire c...  moreVocal group Jazzva from Slovenia was formed six years ago. the Members, who sing in some of the best Choirs in the country, decided they want more musical freedom and creativity, wilder beats and louder sound of their own voices. Jazzva's repertoire consists of many different genres, pop, rock, classical music, jazz, arrangements of folk songs and many more. As experienced Choir singers, they are used to singing with as well as without electronic amplification. they also try to incorporate some choreography to their own music, thus making it even more interesting and fun. At the moment, Jazzva is officially the best a-cappella group in Slovenia. In 2010, 2011 and 2012 Jazzva won at Sredi zvezd, the Slovenian national pop-jazz a-cappella competition three consecutive times. they also got a prize for the best vocal arrangement of the competition all three times (the last two years the arrangements were made by the group's artistic director Jasna Žitnik). A year before, there was already a male vocal group consisting of six Members called MIKE 6, the establishment of which was inspired by a US vocal group TAKE 6. Voxtet was basically formed by subsequent addition of female singers to MIKE6. the formation of Voxtet started out with nine persons but, during the first three years, it ca me down to the current six Members. Most of the singers in Voxtet have their musical background in various Choirs. Some of them still sing in Jihlava’s famous PS Campanula Choir. 1999 Voxtet’s first concert took place on 31 May 1999 in Jihlava’s Horácké theatre. Performances include world-renowned guest soloists and musicians. the ensemble is directed by internationally acclaimed conductor and composer Steven Sametz. Lehigh University Choral Union has performed at New York's Carnegie Hall and has toured internationally in China, Portugal, Hawaii, Italy, Spain, Austria and Hungary. From reno...  morethe Ensemble Thios Omilos was founded in 2002 by Members of the Leipzig Thomanerchor and quickly became recognized for their stylistic dedication to the interpretation of sacred music as well as secular literature from the renaissance to modern. From renowned festivals, such as the Leipzig Bachfest, the MDR Summer Music, the music festival in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, the “Kultursommer” in Nordhessen, and the “Musiksommer” in both Schönberg and Quedlinburg, to performances abroad, the singers have been warmly welcomed. the vocal quintet went on tour in 2007 to the People’s Republic of China and in 2010 to Taiwan. In 2013 the group was invited to Rome to perform a concert in honor of the council chairman of the Evangelical Reformed Church visiting the Holy See. In the same year Thios Omilos won first place in the Johannes-Brahms-Competition in Wernigerode, the Anton-Bruckner-Competition in Linz, and the Leipzig Conservatory of Music and theater Ensemble Competition.
