We range in age from 18 to 75. We strive to inspire singers, audiences and community through the beauty and power of diverse chorale music. We perform four major concerts per year, including a holiday program, a classical performance with orchestra, and a spring pops concert.

However, the existence of a primary form of the choir conducted by Agesilaos Papantoniou and then Ioannis Kottoros in succession is traced in 1930s. Since its foundation the choir has had an exclusive and leading position in the parish ecclesiastical music, and, like Saint Alexander’s Church, follows the eastern orthodox doctrine and comes under the Holy Metropolis of Nea Smyrni. Both the choir and the former conductor Ioannis Kottoros have been awarded several times; recently, in 2005, they were honoured with the Golden Cross of Apostle Paul by His Beatitude the late Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Christodoulos. We are a mixed voice choir singing a variety of musical styles including classical, pop, musicals, sacred and Scottish songs. Members' ages range from teenagers to octogenarians. To date we have recorded over 30 albums and raised over £1.5 million for charity.

The choir was formed in 2002 under the directorship of Ellie Davidoff. choir membership consists of youth from the 8th grade through to college age students. Now in their 13th season, this choir has grown in membership as well as experience. There are still several original members, and every season they are joined by their younger siblings and new friends, who add strength and spirit to the group. The repertoire of the Vision of Peace Youth choir consists of hymns and folk songs sung in the traditional Doukhobor acapella style that has been passed from generation to generation for over 200 years. The hymns and folk songs as well as the contemporary numbers in their program selection reflect their Doukobor beliefs as well as their steadfast wish for a peaceful existence on this earth.  less
