On its first attempt at competitions in 2007, the group won Second Runner-Up in the prestigious PAGCOR Chorale Festival and was chosen as one of the top five winners in the Paskong Himig sa Lungsod ng PASIG Chorale Competition.
In December 2007, the Ars Cantica Ensemble was featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the Amazing European Union Christmas held at The Podium, Ortigas and was one of the choirs invited to grace the Sing For Me Project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
In February 2010, Ars Cantica Ensemble emerged as one of the winners in Sa ‘Yo Lamang Chorale Fest, a Choral competition sponsored by ABS-CBN and Star Records. The choir sings mostly a cappella and its repertoire ranges from sacred and spiritual music to popular music and from 16th century polyphony to Choral works by contemporary authors, focusing especially on Italian composers. less

Davide Riva’s beautiful acapella setting for four-part mixed voices is set to the beloved poem by Emily Dickinson. The composition is divided into two repeated sections. In the first section, the Choral texture is homo-rhythmic and in the second section, the voices are set into a simple counterpoint. “I Never Saw” closes on the dominant chord creating a feeling of suspension that enhances the concept of faith expressed by Dickinson.

In a short time came to count 42 active members who are characterized by their love for quality Choral music as well as their desire for further knowledge in the Choral art!
Within the first year of its operation, InDONNAtion accoplished first Panhellenic executions and suggested a different and original approach to Choral music, as its repertoire includes beyond the classics and unique compositions that combine movement with sound.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the choir's name is a pun of the musical term Intonation (tonality of the sound) and the latin word Donna (woman). less
