The Boychoir’s reputation for excellence has brought invitations from local and national music conventions, as well as sporting events and touring Broadway companies. The Boychoir has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Opera, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Prague Philharmonic, Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion on National Public Radio, amongst others. This season our choirBoys will be featured in Minnesota American Choral Directors Association’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Golden Finale Concert along with first-time appearances with the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra, Edina Chorale and St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church Choir (Orff’s Carmina Burana). Born and raised in Ukrainia dr. Myroslaw Antonowycz conducted the worship services in Culemborg for the reestablished Ukrainian seminar. After the seminarians were graduated, they swarmed out to fulfill their priestly vocation for the Ukrainians all over the world. The now outside the monastery walls well-known seminarian choir fell apart while applications for the singing of liturgies and concerts throughout the Netherlands, kept coming. On the initiative of Msgr. AG Smith, dr. Antonowycz founded the Utrecht Byzantine Choir on February 9, 1951, consisting of only Dutch men, who specialized in singing the liturgy according to the Slavic-Byzantine rite. However it does not exempt the work of works accompanied by instrumental ensemble, piano, etc. This group's training base is four singers, two of them music professionals, malleable according to the repertoire, joining more singers if so required. Being a recent ensemble, it premiered in the March 2015 concert with the Lenten Concert (Solidarity Concert in favor of Maria Lara) in the Chapel of Covão do Coelho and the Church of Minde, with works by T.L de Victoria, A. Caldara, A. Scarlatti, J.S. Bach, G. Their sound combines rock, acapella, electronic, ambient and chant influences. Paradisum was created by Richard Childress, a Chicago-born professional singer, arranger and manager who brought together five talented and versatile young singers to record a few demo tracks. This attracted some attention from a veteran A & R professional, resulting in Paradisum being invited to perform in a private showcase in London before execs from Universal and Sony/BMG Records. The band is now in a new exciting collaboration with the brilliant tv and film composer Philip Sheppard. New covers and original sings will be out on Soundcloud and iTunes early in 2012.  less

Born in September of 2012, the New Hope – Solebury & Lambertville Community Choir is a true community-based and community-oriented chorus, made up of members from the New Hope, Solebury, Lambertville, and immediate surrounding areas. The choir is non-audition, and is open to all singers and would-be singers, ages 14 to 84 (and beyond). NHS&LCC is the New Hope area’s musical voice. We’ll be there a few times a year with concerts, we’ll be singing at community events, for Christmas caroling, at nursing homes & rehab centers, and more.  less
